RULES OF

THE RIVER

NOTICE:

Rules of the Golden Days River Regatta are listed below. If we witness a craft or participants not following the rules, they will be disqualified from the judging and prizes.

All Vessels MUST have a 50 foot docking line to participate. Please remember to attach one to your craft.

1.

ALL participants MUST be wearing a USCG-approved Personal Flotation device at all times. This is to ensure the safety of everyone involved with the regatta.

2.

No enclosed vessels. In the event of an emergency, no part of the structure may impede the passenger from exiting the craft.

3.

Each vessel may have up to 8 people on board

4.

No power allowed! Only floating during the Regatta. Vessels may have a motor for emergency purposes.

5.

All vessels with children under the age of 18 must have at least one adult on board.

6.

Each crew member must sign a liability waiver, found at the registration table the day of the float.

7.

All entrants must assume responsibility for any calamity caused by their entry. Be safe.

8.

Removal of vessel, and any related debris, from the river is the responsibility of the Captain.

9.

No alcohol or drugs on board at any time.

10.

No tipping or damaging of other rafts. We need everyone to be safe.

Play nice. If someone doesn't want to be splashed, don't splash them.
